Dr. Robert Abrahamsen
Robert Abrahamsen M.D. is a board eligible* phlebologist and an experienced medical doctor. Although “Dr Bob” is known for his skill with Endovenous Laser Therapy, it is his experience, level of expertise and his enthusiasm about treating venous insufficiency that makes him a valued member of Advanced Vein Center. A graduate of Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA., Dr Abrahamsen has worked as a vein specialist managing all aspects of venous disease and has earned a number of specialty board certifications including Family Practice, Emergency Medicine and Hyperbaric Medicine. He has lectured nationally for Sigvaris, Organogenesis, and Smith & Nephew. Dr R. Abrahamsen holds numerous certifications and is a professional member of the:

Dr. Maria A. Atkins
Maria A. Atkins D.O. is an veteran health care practitioner whose specialization is in Medical Aesthetic and Cosmetic Treatments. Her particular focus in vein treatment has been to incorporate multi- wavelength laser technologies with a comprehensive armamentarium. She skillfully combines non-invasive, state-of-the-art techniques, modalities and procedures in her treatment and therapies.
Dr. M. Atkins is responsible for establishing and managing a highly successful, cutting-edge Medical Laser and Cosmetic Center. She is a professional member of the:

Sheri Piers NP
Sheri Piers is an integral part of the support team at the Advanced Vein Center. She has been a Nurse Practitioner in Maine since 1997. Piers received a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from St. Joseph’s College, a Masters of Science in Nursing from Simmons College and is a member of the Maine Nurse Practitioner’s Association.
