Dr. Robert B. Abrahamsen, MD, ACEP, UHMS, RPVI, ABPh Diplomate
Dr. Abrahamsen is currently the Medical Director of both the Advanced Wound Care Center and the Advanced Vein Center in South Portland, Maine. As the previous Medical Director of St. Mary’s Regional Medical Wound and Hyperbaric Center, Dr. “Bob” brings 20 years of hands on experience to the Advanced Wound Care Center.
Dr. Abrahamsen holds board certifications in Hyperbaric Medicine and Emergency Medicine. He is also a registered physician in vascular interpretation (RPVI) as well as a Diplomate of the American Board of Phlebology. He has spoken nationally on advanced therapeutics, including Apligraf, Regranex and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
Combining his years of experience and extensive knowledge, Dr. Bob is at the forefront of his profession and continues to be a proponent of his specialty. He seeks to offer his patients the latest wound care techniques that are now available worldwide.
Dr. Bob is also a leader in the management of venous complications, such as venous leg ulcers, which is an integral component to the improvement and healing of many chronic wounds. This level of expertise ultimately benefits his patients, as they will find their wounds heal quicker with fewer recurrences.
Tracy Bradway, CST, PBJ (ASCP)
Tracy is our Board Certified Surgical Technologist that has years of surgical and medical training. Tracy has advanced vein and wound care training. She enjoys working with Dr. Abrahamsen to educate our patients with their venous and wound care issues.
