Insurance Information at Advanced Vein Center

Many people who suffer from varicose veins do not seek treatment because they are afraid they can’t afford the procedure. However, most insurance companies cover vein treatments, particularly if the veins are causing uncomfortable symptoms or complications like venous ulcers. At Advanced Vein Center, we accept nearly all major insurance carriers and have the forms you need to pursue appropriate coverage from your provider conveniently located on our website. To learn more about insurance coverage for vein treatment, contact us today.

The Advanced Vein Center participates with most insurance companies. We also accept Medicare and MaineCare.

During registration on your first visit, our office will ask for your health insurance information and make a photocopy of your insurance card. We will then confirm your coverage through our verification process.

Referrals
A referral from your primary care physician may be necessary to be seen at our office, especially if you have a managed care plan, such as an HMO. We require all MaineCare patients to obtain a referral from their primary care physician. As a patient, it is your responsibility to make sure that your referral is in place prior to being seen for an appointment in our office. It is important to have an open line of communication with your primary care physician about the care you are asking to receive.

Pre-Certifications
Pre-certification will be necessary for any procedure or surgery that may be recommended. Our office will manage the pre-certification and you will be updated about the process as it proceeds. Some insurance companies do not accept the pre-certification of recommended procedures. If your insurance company denies coverage for a recommended procedure, we will discuss this with you.

Billing
When a procedure or surgery is done in our office you will receive one bill dated for the day treatment was received.

Please call our office with any questions you may have about our billing process and/or insurance coverage information.
