Your First Visit at Advanced Vein Center
Our experienced team of medical professionals is passionate about identifying and resolving issues with leg veins, leg discomfort, vein disorders, venous disease, and chronic wounds, including treatment of spider veins, varicose veins, and beyond.
During your initial visit, our medical providers will listen to your concerns, examine your legs and complete an ultrasound exam to determine your diagnosis and treatment options. They will then review the suggested treatment plan with you in detail, answering any questions you might have about the proposed process. During your visit, you will also meet with a staff member who will explain the cost and insurance authorization process as well as scheduling and post-operative care instructions.
Most insurances cover the procedures we perform, but we do offer some services that may not be covered. We will contact your insurance company in order to obtain pre-approval for any procedures and treatments that have been recommended. We ask all patients to also call their insurance company to verify the percentage they will personally cover for the procedure – any remaining balances beyond that which is covered by insurance will be the full responsibility of the patient.
Our medical team believes that compression stocking therapy plays a major role in the pre-and post-care of venous system issues. You will be prescribed 30-40 mmHg compression stockings that can be purchased either through our office or a durable medical equipment provider. We do not work with insurance companies to cover the cost of these stockings, so it will be your responsibility to get coverage information from your carrier. Medicare does not cover the cost of the stockings unless the patient is being treated for an active leg or foot ulcer at the time of the visit. This will be discussed further during your visit with us.
Our staff takes pride in both educating our patients about their venous or chronic wound issues, and in providing unparalleled support throughout every step of your treatment, from the first appointment through your post-operative care.
